Central Idea

my favorite idea was "friendly human relationships can destroy hate and make the world safe.". I also liked " to be human is not to hate but to appreciate it while you can.".I think that "to be human is not to hate but to make friendly human relationships with yourself and with others and to destroy hate."would be a good Central idea.

Decreased appetite

Lack of appetite, or decreased hunger, is one of the most troublesome nutrition problems you can experience. Although it is a common problem, its cause is unknown. There are some medicines that might stimulate your appetite. Ask your doctor if such medicines would help you.

Solutions:

Eat smaller meals and snacks more frequently. Eating six or even or eight times a day might be more easily tolerated than eating the same amount of food in three meals.
Talk to your doctor. Sometimes, poor appetite is due to depression, which can be treated. Your appetite is likely to improve after depression is treated.
Avoid non-nutritious beverages such as black coffee and tea.
Try to eat more protein and fat, and less simple sugars.
Walk or participate in light activity to stimulate your appetite

High-calorie snacks:

Ice cream
Cookies
Pudding
Cheese
Granola bars
Custard
Sandwiches
Nachos with cheese
Eggs
Crackers with peanut butter
Bagels with peanut butter or cream cheese
Cereal with half and half
Fruit or vegetables with dips
Yogurt with granola
Popcorn with margarine and parmesan cheese
Bread sticks with cheese sauce

Problem

Obesity is a big problem in our country. it is one of the biggest killers of people. It can cause diseases like diabetes, heart and internal organ problems. There are many obvious ways to help prevent obesity. You can stay physically healthy by playing sports, walking or jogging or by playing actively. You should always play at least 60 minutes per day to stay physically fit.when you play, your heart gets stronger and that will help you stay healthy. By extending recess to 1 hour it will help children get most of the play time that they need. Giving less homework would also help kids to get outside to play before it gets dark. This would help kids make it to the 60 minutes of play goal.

You also need to eat healthily. If you eat healthy you get the vitamins, minerals and protein that your body needs. Although cafeterias say that they serve healthy food some of their food is very fattening and greasy. By bringing your own lunch from home and having parents monitor the foods in the lunch we might all eat more healthily. Making good food choices is also important. Salad or lots of fruits and vegetables with every meal is necessary. Being responsible for our own health is not always easy. Bad things taste good. But by making good food choices most of the time, it is okay to have the bad stuff sometimes too.

my passion

I have a passion for sports. I always try to come back if we are losing and never give up. I also keep up with professional sports. I keep track of their scores, players and schedules. When I think of sports I think of making new Friends and getting to hang out with people that you have not seen for awhile. I love to play sports because it is fun. It feels good to make a good play up at the plate or in the field in baseball, or to make a good catch when I play football, score a goal when I play soccer, or making a hard shot in basketball. I hope that I never have to stop playing sports. My dad has a passion for sports too, I think I got it from him!

conection reflection

By reading everyone's narratives, I learned that many people in this class like to keep their spirits up by worshipping their God. I think that it's important to be religious and to worship your God or gods. I like to worship my God, like many other people in this class. When I am in despair praying gives me hope. I feel peaceful when I pray or think about my God. It makes me feel good that many other people in the class feel that this as important as I do.

Many people in this class feel better sharing their problems with their families. I feel that you can share your deep feelings with your family. You can trust them not to tell anyone. Sharing with my family and talking through things gives me confidence and makes me feel better about my decisions. My family supports me. Family seems to be important to almost all of my classmates.

I feel like I have a lot in common with the people in my class. I think that with these narratives that I have gotten to know some people in my class better and learned new things about them.

personal naritive

I am Jack Notley. I am partly British and partly American. I am very determined. It's important try to finish everything you start because something good could come of it. I am almost always reliable. If you are not reliable than people will not trust you. I am social and I have a lot of good friends and make them fast. it is important to be social because friends play with you and talk to you. I value being free and equal. I dislike being treated unfairly and I think that goes for all human beings. I like that our country is smart enough to know that it is wrong to treat other people unfairly. I love my family, they help me get through hard times and many other things. I like to play sports in and out of school. at recess I like to play basketball and football. After school I play baseball or soccer. I like to be active and play sports. I have fun and make friends at the same time. I love to explore and discover new things. its fun to discover new things in the backyard that have been buried for quite a while. This is who I am and I'm me because of that.
